IOM offers superior design and support services for new build and major conversion design. The IOM team has direct and vast experience in supporting each phase of a project from conceptual design to the provision of detailed construction drawings and specifications for procurement. It is Pasargad Petrogas Marine policy that each of their hand picked engineers have a minimum of 12 years experience in the Marine industry, therefore, able to manage individually or partake as a member of an operational team. Our engineers have been individually selected for their experience and contribution in some of the worlds largest and most challenging of marine projects. Feasibility study Pasargad Petrogas Marine has substantial experience in concept and feasibility design studies relevant to new builds and major conversion projects. Typically these studies would include vessel arrangement and machinery space layouts, outline marine systems design, preliminary powering and sea keeping analysis. Within our conceptual design, we offer an estimate of vessel capital and through-life costs as well as preliminary construction programmes. Newbuild & conversion Pasargad Petrogas Marine provides detailed technical specifications, for both new build and conversion projects that ensure our Clients are able to proceed with procurement. These key documents contain a definition of the scope to enable shipyards to tender. In particular the specifications define the Class and regulatory requirements, major structural and outfit arrangements as wells marine, electrical and control system requirements. In the case of a conversion, the major elements of the conversion are specified. The specifications would be supported by detail and general arrangement drawings. Detail Design Pasargad Petrogas Marine offers detailed engineering service that ensures operability. The detailed design takes the concept to the level of Class approval and beyond if required by the client. It is at this stage that the company’s production and support knowledge comes to the fore. The design is developed to ensure not only that it meets functional requirements but also that it is optimised from a construction viewpoint. Similarly, the in-service support experience of our team is used to develop designs that have high availability and reliability as well as maintainability. Design Verification Pasargad Petrogas Marine provides independent design verification services relating to all aspects of hull and systems design. Independent assessments may be carried out to verify that the design meets all Classification Society requirements, government legislation and regulatory authorities, MARPOL, SOLAS etc together with the client’s functional requirements. The aim of this service is to ensure that the client’s specifications and the corresponding contractors’ proposals are compatible with the design intent.
